In the 44 rooms and suites, the architecture of the Belle Époque is harmoniously combined with the elegance of contemporary interior design and creates a feeling of security, regardless of what occasion brings you to us. The furnishings provide subtle references to a time when Zurich was a successful trading center for exclusive fabrics. Each of the 5 floors tells the artistically staged history of the relationships with France, Spain, India and the United Kingdom, which had their heyday in the 19th century.
Each room impresses with a detail, whether it is the view of the opera house or Lake Zurich, whether it is a bay window or a pretty balcony. The furnishings play with colors from nature, the exclusive furniture is individually designed and manufactured in factories: a stylish combination of past and present, with custom-made furniture and lights, marble tables and warm parquet floors. In addition, you can look forward to slate-colored, fine bed linen, puffy plums and fabrics that have decorative motifs typical of the countries. After a soothing rain shower, a luxurious box spring bed lures you in, taking you straight to cloud nine and letting you sleep soundly. The rooms on the 6th floor are in the attic style with sloping ceilings and lower ceilings. This gives them a cosy, romantic and homely ambience. From the dormer windows, guests have a great view over the roofs of Zurich.
The Ambassador Hotel Zurich is the only hotel in Zurich that can call itself a Small Luxury Hotel, as it belongs to this world-leading association of luxurious boutique hotels. The city center with its many shops, boutiques and restaurants is within walking distance, the promenade on the lake shore is only a few meters away.
