Limmatquai and the Old Town
The Limmatquai is the street in Zürich’s Old Town – also known as the Niederdorf – that runs along the right-hand waterfront of the River Limmat. It passes by the Grossmünster Church, the Wasserkirche (Water Church) and the Rathaus (City Hall), as well as various guild houses. Many of these are home to public restaurants, combining a history-steeped ambience with typical Zürich culinary specialities.
