“Good situation and a very well equipped room.
The hotel is very good situated – only a few steps away from the lake and the Old Town. What I found very comfortable is that there is Stadelhofen station with direct connections to the Airport.
The room I had was luxuriously equipped – with a Nespresso machine, a very modern TV-Internet device and a bed which might be arranged in a comfortable way as one can change the position of legs or head. I did like it. My room also had a small balcony to the street side which was a nice detail. It left little to be desired for a 4* hotel.
Breakfast is served at a restaurant Opera, a very beautifully painted room with a terrace. Breakfast was lush and generous, with hot dishes and tasty buffet. The restaurant room is beautifully and unusually painted. The restaurant is also popular as a cosy place for dinner with very good food.
In general it was a very pleasant experience, and I would definitely recommend it as for business travelers as well as for leisure.”

“All personal at the front desk were very helpfull, nice and the girl in the reception this last wednesday had a wonderful sence of humor! A very good choice of personal there. The women at he breakfast buffé were very kind aswell.

“Recent stay at this hotel”
I have been staying at this hotel for almost 18 years. This is perhaps one of the nicest cleanest hotel in the heart of the city with quality of friendliness and assistance which the hotel staff offers to their guests. The hotel is only 5 minutes conveniently close to Stadelhoff train station which has direct trains from Zurich airport. The breakfast is superb and the hotel is close to the lake and Bellvue Platz, the center of many trams which take you easily every where in around the city. The old zurich town is 5 minutes away for evening strolls and large number of restaurants and clubs. Mr. Zehnder. the proprietor of the hotel is always available for any assistance needed. I strongly recommend this hotel to any one who visits this great city for ambiance, and quality of restful stay.

“Expectations Exceeded!”
We love staying at the Ambassador hotel! The location is centrally located, yet is quiet. The rooms are beautiful and the beds are a dream. They provide all the amenities to make your stay enjoyable including a nescafe espresso machine in the room. You get the views of lake Zurich and easy access to the altstadt (old city). Great restaurants nearby and is right across the street from the Opera. I would highly recommend staying here and look forward to our next visit.
Room Tip: Higher floors have better views. Both the single and double rooms are nice depending on your needs.
